Don’t Trash Earth Day!

Sapelo celebrated Earth Day this past week by going out for a litter pick-up on some of the island roads. There isn’t as much out here as on the mainland, but there is certainly more than there should be! UGAMI and DNR employees banded together to form a litter-hunting coalition, filling up several trash bags and even finding some unlikely treasures. Litter negatively impacts communities all over the country, and it doesn’t take long to get a few folks together and make a big difference!
